Hello, My name is Plantar Fasciitis... I mean Sarah

This being my first post, I thought I would say hello. I am Sarah. I am a 32 year old mom of three (ages 4, 3, and 3) who struggles with finding time to breathe, PCOS, and newly diagnosed Plantar Fasciitis. I have been walking with Andrea as many times a week as possible. We haven't always made it out everyday, but we try. I have also been trying to be very intentional about how many calories I am eating on a daily basis and eating a lot more veggies and lean meats. My starting weight is 263 and my goal is 200 for right now. It is going to be a long haul at a healthy 2.5 pounds a week which is how my doctor wants it. I on the other hand would love to take a vacuum cleaner and suck it all out right now.
Since my Plantar Fasciitis has been diagnosed in the last two days, I am still learning and will be sharing as much as possible about that. Also if you have any questions or want to commiserate about that or PCOS, leave me a comment or you can e-mail me as well.
My Plantar Fasciitis is a small tear in the ligament that runs from my heel to my toes along the bottom of my foot. I understand that for other people they do not have to have a tear to have the same pain and diagnosis. I also have a small bone spur that we are ignoring for now according to my doctor. I have ben told that I need to wear shoes with good cushion and arch support all the time when I am standing or walking even when I am in the house which I am definitely not used to. Also, I have to lay off the long walks for a while and replace them with stretches 3 times a day, ice and rest (hahaha). The laughing is for the rest part not the stretching because as I have found out, the stretching actually makes my foot feel better. Oh, and yea for the knowledgable staff and bargain basement at Da*ve's Bo*ot Sh*op and birthday money, I now have one pair of shoes that I can wear. I am going to get back to walking as soon as possible.
Sorry to ramble. I will let you know how it goes.
Sarah
